Creative Arts Studio at Creator's Heart
Julie Burley
Julie Burley is a creator at heart — a Realtor by day and a mixed media painter always. Whether she’s helping someone find the perfect home or transforming a blank canvas into a colorful story, Julie believes life is meant to be lived creatively.

My artistic journey began early, studying at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh while still a high school senior. After graduating from Webster Thomas High School, I continued pursuing my love of the arts at SUNY Brockport, studying Fine Arts along with Adolescent and Secondary Art Education, later earning my Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Nazareth College.
Art has always been my way of making sense of the world.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been creating — painting, layering, experimenting, collecting little treasures from life and turning them into something beautiful. Creativity isn’t just something I do… it’s how I breathe, process, heal, and celebrate.
At julie blü Creative Arts, there are no rules, no expectations, and no perfect lines to follow.
I work mostly with mixed media and acrylic paint, drawn to rich textures, unexpected materials, and bold contrasting colors that dance together across the canvas. My process often begins with colorful, blended backgrounds — messy, vibrant, emotional layers — and once the paint dries, the story begins to emerge.

Sometimes I paint with brushes.
Sometimes I don’t.
I love creating with objects, stones, glass, wood, seeds, metal, and anything else that sparks curiosity and joy. I believe art should feel playful, freeing, and alive.
Painting has always been a grounding place for me — especially when life feels chaotic. Creating brings peace and order to my mind, and having a creative outlet has been an important part of my mental health journey. Art reminds me to slow down, breathe deeply, and find beauty in imperfection.
That’s also why I love teaching.
I believe everyone is creative, regardless of age, experience, or ability. Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the very first time or rediscovering creativity after years away, you are welcome here. My goal is simple: to make painting fun, approachable, expressive, and joyful.
I paint for me.
I paint what brings me joy.
And I would love to share that process with you.
Welcome to my colorful little corner of the world.
